Case Management Program for
People with Developmental Disabilities
HealthWays provides a wide array of services for assessment, service
planning, linkage, referral and advocacy to individuals with mental
retardation or developmental disabilities. This program is
responsible for coordinating services of the home and community-based
Waiver Program, Medley and Family Support Programs.
Brooke County Opportunity
Center - North
This program was initiated in 1979 at the request of families in
Brooke County who wanted to establish a program for adults with
developmental disabilities. This HealthWays program provides a
comprehensive array of services including: day treatment, habilitative
training, supportive counseling, pre-vocational training, vocational
evaluation, and sheltered employment and job placement for people with
mental or physical disabilities.
Brooke County Opportunity Center - South
This program provides
day treatment services for people with multiple impairments. Services
provided include communication/speech therapy, physical therapy, and
sensory awareness/integration programs. Additionally, the program serves
people with severe mental and physical disabilities residing in
Intermediate Care Facilities (ICFs).
Hancock County Opportunity
Center
This program began in July of 1993 at the request of Hancock County
agencies and families wishing to develop a program to serve people with
severe mental or physical disabilities. The program offers a wide
variety of training and skill acquisition services.
